Central Black Sea Air Quality Workshop was held in Sinop on February 4-7 within the scope of the CityAir Project.
Within the scope of the CityAir Project being implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization to improve air quality in 31 provinces in Turkey, the Central Black Sea Air Quality Emission Inventory Workshop was held in Sinop on February 4-7, with the participation of officials from Sinop, Amasya, Çorum, Giresun, Ordu, Samsun and Sivas provinces.
During the workshop attended by officials from Sinop, Amasya, Çorum, Giresun, Ordu, Samsun, and Sivas provinces, presentations on air pollution were made to increase the technical knowledge and administrative capacities of municipalities and relevant stakeholder institutions. At the Central Black Sea air quality workshop held between 4-7 February, the current situation and future planning details regarding the air quality of the provinces were discussed. During the three-day training, the development stages of emission inventory on the provinces, basic principles and objectives and, modeling were discussed in detail. In the workshop, practices for all components of air quality management were studied and the issue was discussed by stakeholders
