Training for the Ministry of National Education’s and Ministry of Health’s personnel working in Afyonkarahisar, Aksaray, Antalya, Burdur, Isparta, Karaman, Kayseri, Konya, Nevşehir and Niğde provinces was held online on December 2, 2020.

Activities continue without interruption in the Project for Improving Air Quality and Raising Public Awareness in Cities (CityAir) carried out by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. Following the awareness training series of the project, which includes a total of 31 provinces, the formator trainings of 10 provinces consisting of Afyonkarahisar, Aksaray, Antalya, Burdur, Isparta, Karaman, Kayseri, Konya, Nevşehir, and Niğde were completed. In the training held online, the personnel of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of National Education from 10 provinces were informed about the importance of air quality and the link between this matter and professions.

The CityAir Project aims to improve air quality in cities and increase public awareness, primarily to sustain the protection of air quality in 31 provinces, thus minimizing the negative impact of air pollution on health and the economy, so health effects of air quality were discussed in the online awareness training held with more than 50 personnel from Provincial Organizations of the Ministry of National Education and Health, and the Central Organizations of the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Health from Afyonkarahisar, Aksaray, Antalya, Burdur, Isparta, Karaman, Kayseri, Konya, Nevşehir and Niğde provinces . Moreover, practices that could be implemented by the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Health with the intent to create public awareness in participating provinces were consulted.
